I posted this same thing over at another forum.

I am not sure if those guys know what they are talking about.

I'd appreciate some input from some warriors.

Here is the post:

Hi

I wanted to create a SEO plan / regimen.

I have four niche sites that are all reachable. I feel I can rank in the top ten in a few months.

I plan to have a ton of content written around keywords that I've already researched. I will then just submit the articles to blogs, my websites, and article places. Of course all my info submitted to blogs will be in fresh blog pages and will have unique backlinks to my main site with each post.

I'd LOOOOOVE your suggestions on how I can improve this or --- if you think its a good plan.

Mondays (8 Articles Required)

Submit an article for each niche to ezinearticles
Submit an article for each niche to individual wordpress blogs (with backlinks in each post)
Buy a small order of blog comments for each site or use Comment Kahuna and comment myself

Tuesdays (8 Articles Required)

Submit an article from each niche to ezinearticles, but have them backlink to the wordpress blogs.
Submit an article from each niche to specfic Blogger blogs.
Tune up my adwords campaigns and do keyword research.

Wednesdays (8 Articles Required)

Bulk submit an article via an article submission company for each niche.
Bulk submit already indexed articles to more article sites
Submit an article for each niche to Xanga pages

Thursdays (12 Articles Required)
Submit an article from each niche to Goarticles/Searchwarp/Buzzle or Articleclick
Submit an article from each niche to Isnare
Update and add content to each of my websites (by adding an article / page to each website)

Friday (8 Articles Required)

Submit an article from each niche to Ezinearticles
Add content from each niche to individual HubPages pages
Hire a small "forum posting' job for each niche (Every odd week)

Saturday (4 Articles Required)

Submit already indexed articles to other article sites
Submit indexed stuff to DIGG for each niche
Buy a small "social bookmarking" service for each niche
Do some additional link building
Submit an artcle from each niche to articledashboard

Sunday (12 Articles Required)

Possibly submit articles to EZinearticles that link to my blogger blogs
Submit articles to individual Xanga pages
Submit articless to individual WetPaint Pages
Order deep linking directory submissions (every odd week)

Monthly

I dont see how adding content to my own blogs can EVER look bad to google. I am giving the internet tons of free information.

Yes I plan to mix in directory submission, blog commenting and forum posting too.

But is my article submissions stuff TOO agressive?

Perhaps I am being defensive because I have about 500 articles coming my way.

what's your goal? if it's traffic then your plan might work without any search engine love. (of course you won't rank for the term, the article directory will, you get the secondary traffic)

if it's simply to rank well then your approach seems a bit odd.

certainly a little article marketing can help you but to do it like a madman doesn't seem to help anything for seo. if it worked I'd buy and article and just submit it until I passed out and get #1 ranking for anything I choose. but it doesn't work that way.

just my 2 cents though, others probably think it's great

With that plan you are not going to do any harm in fact I'd be really surprised if you don't get good rankings with all that work.

Just make sure your funneling all the traffic and links back to your main site so it gets the most benefit.

DigitalProductReporter --- I understand what you're saying -- but you do not assume i'd submit the same articles, do you? I am talking about unique articles posted on blogs, on directories, and on my site.

Also -- dont the article sites first rank high but then sink in the rankings and push your site up? Don't they switch positions over time, as mentioned in Niche Marketing on Crack?

Initiallly yes, an article ranks, but then once you gain more backlinks from other articles and other SEO, you outrank it..

Whatever the crack marketing says I'm not familiar with the teachings but it's not true.

For instance search for -day job killer-. Ezine articles has ranked top 5 forever for that. I've never seen the authors site beatout ezine articles.

It happens sometimes maybe, but not always.

I don't want to rain on your parade, just offering my 2cents and was hoping others would chime in.

smart move for what? you never mentioned what you were doing all this for.

just ranking for the sake of ranking seems goofy?

Want a #1 ranking? go buy an adwords campaign for the term and get #1 in the next 5 minutes then you'll know if it's even worth it or not.

if it's worth it then attack it with every thing you got, from articles to real QUALITY sites, to humour sites on the topic, to email marketing campaigns, to videos on the topic, whatever. if your site doesn't rank then own the page on the other site's that do (ezinearticles, youtube or whatever)

it's real easy to own 5 or more of the top10 for a not-to-competitive-keyword

      good luck

I agree with the adwords thing, for the most part.

But I am SEOing a tiny niche right now and I cannot convert with adwords, but I made $45 on the thing today and I am just getting started. And its not ranking in the top 3 for anything. I think I made 30 on it yesterday and 30 the day before.

Once she ranks high, I'll just keep building links and just let it sit there and generate me cash. If it makes only 100 bucks a day, so be it. I'll take the extra 36k a year.

    -

I am simply asking you -- is it wise to set up a Blogger site, a Wordiness site, etc. etc. and submit content to them related to my site, and then have THEM rank along with my site, and have multiple entrypoints?

And thanks for your advice on saying that sites do not eventually outrank articles. I didn't realize that....

(Sorry this post is a bit scatterbrained)

Frankly speaking, I would'nt just concentrate on article submissions. I would rather host a blog and post articles on my blog and then do contextual blog linking....
what I would suggest is a blend of article submission, blog updating with the articles you plan to submit, a solid link exchange and a social bookmarking campaign. Although, I would like to add, that this is not a bad approach, but I wouldnt keep all my eggs in one basket...

Il definitely give you credit for your gameplan. Love how youv organised each day. If you stick to your final organised schedule, you will go along way and be ranking in no time.

Yes i believe its very important to have control of your own content. You also have the great uplinking method in mind which is great. Articles that link to sub hosted blogs that link to your main site is a good idea, one way of establishing authority in a niche. Its also a good opportunity to link from the articles to your individual posts building your internal backlinks.

Dont put to much into the duplicate content theory, duplicate content on seperate ip's isnt that bad but duplicate content on same ip and website isnt good. So dont be afraid to post the same Article on multiple blogs. People with have differing opinions on this topic but thats my experience with it. Just think that a Press Release is all the same content submitted to thousands of sites. Iv had a press release rank 1 through to 8 with a longtail key phrase, each page had the same content.

Other high ranking hosted sub blog websites you could use together with blogger, wordpress and hubpages are squidoo, clearblogs, wetpaint and google knols. You could dominate the top 10 rankings for some longtail keywords if you use them. Some are no follow so you dont get link juice but its the traffic that pays the bills.

Definitely need to look at wider variety of link building options though.

      Good luck.
