Hello, a novice in need of your help!

Hi all,

I recently began working for a sales training provider in the United Kingdom to help out with SEO and promotion of its new website. Having worked here a couple months now it is clear that the firm has issues with its internet marketing strategy which I think is preventing us from converting the traffic we bring to the site. We do all of our SEO and PPC advertising in-house and are relatively comfortable with how this is going right now. However, the company's website as a whole has become lost along the way with many mixed/contradictory messages and the company is struggling to sell its one (and only) online sales training product. We have had around 2,000 unique visits since the beginning of 2011 but only 2 conversions (and these were both in January!) I think that another problem is that the site's navigation is a little confusing and we are trying to target too broadly which has made the whole strategy a little confusing.

Anyway, it has been agreed that we want to hire somebody to resolve these issues. Could anybody on here provide us with advice on what type of internet marketeer would be most beneficial to our company, considering the above issues and that we want to keep SEO (i.e. link-building, article-writing, blogging, etc) in house?

If you would like to take a look at the site in question and give advice, please hit me up on Twitter @ceungblut and I can post you the link (in stictest confidence). You never know, your advice and help may even lead to my boss to hiring you. Recommendations on any particular internet strategist/marketeer would also be welcome if genuine!

Kind regards and many thanks in advance,

Chris
