The Death Of [fill in the blanks] Don't You Believe It

Yes, it's true it is time to say goodbye to the myths that surround IM.

People have an idea, and they work hard to try and put it into practice, but some naysayer come along and says it won't work.

It might not work for them, but normally that is because they haven't tried it.

I recently worked with someone who had bought into the myths of writing and pricing, but they realised that there were alternatives, and now is having a good income online.

Just because one person wants or can work for $5 an hour regardless of whether that is selling a service, affiliate marketing, their own product doesn't mean that everybody has to work with the same model.

Just because one person's budget is low, doesn't mean all budgets are low. Just because one person won't pay more than $7 for a product doesn't mean others won't pay $97 for a product.

For those who are starting, get your business model developed and see where your target market is. It might not be on the WF, but you need to develop your business to make money. Yes, the bottom line is you need to make money, and you alone will know the best way to do that.

You might need some help along the way, but keep your business close to your heart and don't let someone tell you that you are wrong. If your business model is to create great programs, and you don't know how to program, then either learn, or find a programmer you can outsource to.

There are millions of people online just looking for the solution you are going to offer, think beyond the four walls of internet marketing. Think and plan how you can run the best business ever in 2009. Now is the time to start to plan this.

Just because my business model is different to yours doesn't make either wrong. We might target different people. Just like McD's and a 5 star restaurant target different people doesn't make either business model wrong. They target based on the product they produce, and the money their customers have to spend.

Don't listen to the wrong people, if you are a 5 star restaurant, would you take your advice about pricing from people who won't spend any more money than they do at McD's? If you did, then your business would crash so fast it wouldn't be funny. But, this is exactly what happens online. People ask questions, and they get answers from those who are looking for the cheap option in everything.

People say drop your prices, because we are in a recession. People say drop your prices, because they don't want to spend money. People say drop your prices, because they don't have money to spend.

But, the reality is, there are people who are spending money, and spending it big time. There are people who'll spend $5K without giving it a second thought. There are people who are looking for high priced service providers.

There are people who live outside the four walls of internet marketing. The next time you hear that your business model is wrong, think outside of the box, think about your target market and aim to reach them. It will pay back huge rewards.
