You can use Flippa, ebay, or post it in several forums. Unless the domain is keyword rich the best way to get is assessed id by hiring a domain appraiser.

I'm not an expert domain reseller or anything like that, but I have been getting my feet wet a little bit lately. You can take my advice for what its worth to you. Someone else may give you better advice than what I'm about to give you, but I'm just going from what I have learned so far, with the little experience I have gained in the industry so far.

If you try to sell your domain on Flippa, eBay, or domaining forums (like namepros), you are not going to get everything you can possibly out of the domain. You will be selling to other domainers and probably lose out on a lot of cash.

Your best bet is to contact end users and try to sell them the domain.

For instance, if I owned the domain ClevelandDentist.com, I could easily sell this domain on one of the domaining forums or marketplaces, but I would get low ball offers. Then, they will turn around and resell it for the profit you could have made if you went after end users.

On the other hand, if I were to get in touch with all of the dentists in the Cleveland area, let them know about the domain and how it can be valuable to their business, you can bet that I will get top dollar value for the domain.

So far, in my experience, I've noticed that the difference between reseller price and end user price in the domain industry is pretty substantial. The only time I will ever sell a domain to a reseller on Flippa, eBay, or a forum will be when I have exhausted every attempt to sell it to an end user.

Again, I'm not an expert, so maybe someone else can give you better advice.

I would like to say that there are many places where you could sell it, but sadly, that would not be accurate, the fact is that no one can tell you much about where to sell a domain name if they have no real idea of its value.

The value of a domain name is not really in how good it is or how good the owner thinks it is, but it is in how much it is worth to the person buying it.

I sold a domain name a while back for $300.00 and just as another poster said, most appraisals are a joke and not worth the email they use to send it to you with.

Now, depending on what the domain name actually is and depending on the nature of what the name implies, (marketing value) you might have a good opportunity to market it again though the price a party is willing to pay for the domain is really the only value that really matters.
