Trouble in IE with clickbank hoplinks & order pages

I changed a hoplink tonight and was testing it, and it crashed my browser in IE although it worked in Firefox.

I tried on some other computers (IE6 and IE8) and in all of them, I either had trouble with the hoplink, or with the order page if I got past the hop to the vendor page.

To make sure it wasn't me I went to some other arbitrary sites belonging to other people -- affiliates for products I don't promote -- and also had similar problems following their hoplinks in IE and getting to their vendor's order pages.

Is anyone else seeing this problem? My sales are crap this month, and I'm wondering if this is why. Up until now I'd been blaming spring break.

Thanks, -- Patey

Yes, I tried making a purchase right from clickbank site in the marketplace - using IE browser and it failed to get me pass the paypal sign-in

I contacted the seller and he instructed me to use Firefox - I did and made the purchase! I know that a lot of sales are being lost due to the many who wouldn't bother or are scared to purchase when something goes wrong....

If this is the case this is a HUGE problem. Can this be resolved by Clickbank? I'm pretty sure Clickbank is aware of the problem.

Well, I can share how my story ended. It turned out that a change I had made on my site recently really did break my site in IE. And that change, I had not tested when I made. After I fixed it my site worked again in IE.

As for the unrelated sites I tested, I think they were also genuinely broken on IE. I just think a lot of sites are broken on IE, because so many of us spend all our time in Firefox and don't test different versions of IE. I get into trouble using .png images, for example.

Still didn't explain my lack of sales, because my site hadn't been broken for very long. So I finally did what I've seen recommended, and created a new clickbank affiliate account. And immediately started making sales again.
