Default How Do You Improve The Ranking For Your Squidoo Lens?

Does anyone know how to improve your ranking within Squidoo? It doesn't seem that the more ratings you have the higher you rank.

I've read about adding fresh content to it weekly and also building back links to it. Anything else?

Adding fresh content and backlinks are great, and another important factor is making sure that you start off with engaging content!

I think more 5 star ratings will boost your lens's rank in Squidoo, but now Google.

If you want to bump it in Google you will need to keep it updated and do some link building as melanied said.

I'd suggest joining popular groups at Squidoo. That seems to help as the incoming links can be from high pr pages as well.

Of course regular backlink building techniques apply too. I'd also suggest researching the other top lenses in your niche and see if you can figure out what they are doing right.

Alan,

Here's a thread in one of the other forums where we rate and comment on each others lenses. I just went through the entire thread and rated each lens either 4 or 5 stars and left a comment of each one. The person who started the thread asked us to limit ourselves to posting 5 lenses each so I have five of mine posted.

Stop in, go through the list and then post yours.
