Warriors: I need your advice. Established site wants to use a new site to point to it for sales.

So here's the story. A site that is a webapp which is not easily changed, needs some marketing. Of course, some simple on page changes can be made, but not optimal. So the owners have decided that the appsite runs well, but not for marketing, so they will make a new page to drive marketing traffic.

Now they are looking to me to help drive that traffic, but the site will be brand, spanking new and the original site is 6 years old. At issue with the old site is that it is a few pages and very tied into the web app. That can't be changed.

So I can make small changes to the home page, that's it. They want to set up a marketing page to sell and point to the web app page.

My fellow Warriors, can you give me advice on promoting a brand new site? I don't want to run afoul of Google.

Thanks for your help!

Can't you just delete the old web site? An aged domain will help a great deal in your marketing efforts.

Assuming not, just make sure you do your KW research right and then do everything white hat. Fresh content, regular updates and good on page SEO. Then you don't need to work so hard on your backlinks as google will already love your fresh content.

    Good luck
