how to increase Flippa list view

Hey

When you list a website on flippa to sell, you want lots of listing view

I have studied most of the flippa course and none of them has mentioned about it.

Just wonder if anyone here has any suggestion to increase listing view. What are the traffic generation strategy that you used and proven to work?

The easiest way to increase views is to start your auction at $1 - you can always set the reserve higher.

Also focus on the tags. Most of the time there will be multiple tags that are relevent for your listing, pick the ones that have the highest number of "Buyers Watching".

If you have an established site you want to sell you shouldn't have too much trouble finding bidders, but if your site has no traffic or revenue then selling on Flipper can be a hard slog.

    cheers,
    Simon

Sbachell, thank you for your advice.

DO anyone use social media and social bookmarking to increase the listing view?

Do you use up flippa listing upgrades to get more exposure?

Paying the money to have it hosted on the home page is another way to boost views, but the best way I found is already having a list (email list) people to promote the auction to.

I've flipped sites before and whenever someone shows interest I get them on my list
That way each time I have an auction I can email people who genuinely were interested in my offering. Gets me an extra 50-60 views.

Another trick is to have a favicon for your listing and having the colored and featured upgrades almost all the time. The color makes your site stand out and the favicon does the same. Just go to flippa's homepage and you'll know what I am talking about

You can join forums where website buyers hang out and promote your listing there. I have also noticed that if you have more than one listing going at a time you can pay for the feature listing feature and add your other listing to that auction to cross promote those as well at the same time. It also helps to build a list of buyers for your future auctions.

I just listed on flippa for a domain name. I didn't list any income or traffic. I started it last night and already have a bid that broke my reserve. I feel this is a good sign for only being liver for less than 8 hours. The sight is in the Pet Niche and is epetonline.com. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to promote that to a croud that is in the Pet Niche. I will try some of the suggestions in this thread they seem very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you could advertise it in your blog or create a youtube video? Just some marketing suggestions.

Ok, you can also pay $5 for a ADF.LY advertisement, it might help. Besides, start with $1, make sure you have your proofs of payments added as well as google analytics!!
