INTERNET MARKETING

Start a post in the Main forum, and give partial information.

Give so much hype that people are buying into the drama.

Don't worry about keeping promises, all that matters is your bottom line.

Let everyone know how brilliant you are.

Tell them the wso is coming and then sell it to them.

Simple strategy

Except well read the forum rules :p

If I was smart, I would have a list for people to join, lol. I've been accused of this a few times in my blogging post. If it were true, you'd think I would actually A. have some kind of website for people to join. and B. Not take so damn long to get off my ass and finish the more detailed report people have asked for.

I think there's a *right* way to do this on this forum and it's to just give away good stuff and add value and follow the forum rules. If you post something people want to know more about, you'll get some traction. I think approaching it as a fielding board for methods and ideas THEN going the list building/product dev. route is the proper, respectful way to work the forum.

The approach you describe, already having the product and then "teasing" it is total bunk, I agree.

  Actually after I've read the post, I laughed and thought deeply at the same time.
  
  Selling is about showing 'ruthless' faith in oneself, product, and service. If one doesn't have faith, no one will believe.
  
  I've read of a serious critique about a master copywriter. A guy complained that this copywriter writes rant in the ad. But we all know his copy commands great ROI, because his rant is faith-based.
  
  So, it doesn't matter how sales pitch is presented. Hype, rant, etc so far as it shows fervent faith in oneself, product, and service. People will still be attracted by it.

Martin that sounds like a great plan, except a lot of the business models doing this do have a clue what the product is so couldn't leak it.
