It keeps coming back to one thing, the niche

So, I have been doing I.M. for a while and am on about $2 a day, which I know to most people is rubbish but this is great for me. I have also not touched that income stream in a while and its going along nicely.
I recently brought a wso and got a great free wso and all for $5. So I have 2 courses that I believe in but I cannot think of a niche to get into, I am willing to spend a bit of money, as I understand quite a bit about I.M. now, but as I said I cannot think of a niche. I know most people say what do you like, but what I like are not profitable niches and do not get much traffic. Are there any other ideas as I have been picking up the scrapes of the MMO niche for long enough now. Ideas.?

Thanks.

$2 a day isnt bad at all - the important thing is that it's CONSISTENT. Look at TV commercials and magazine covers for ideas. I'm not saying get into diet niches or anything, but they will give you ideas. There are places on the net that will give you good ideas, but i cant think of any atm.

At the end of the day it's about what you like but like you said what if what you like is not profitable. This reminds of my sister that once told me she wants to go into internet marketing and i told her that she'll need to go into a niche that she understands and that niche is the BIBLE. She knows the bible from Genesis to revelation but how's someone going to make money from that.

Now seriously, I heard the beauty niche is quite profitable but you know before going into a niche you have to read some books and know the idiosyncrasies of that niche.

Here are places to get your mind percolating on non-IM niches...

#1 - Yahoo Answers - Browse the categories and look at commonly asked questions.

#2 - Zeitgeist on 43 Things - Look at people's goals and your eyes will open to many new niches.

#3 - Oprah Winfrey's website - Head into the discussion forum and see what women are talking about.

Those are just three places I check on a semi-regular basis to get the brain stirring, or to even do research.

Every good marketers will suggest you to go somewhere inside those 3 mega niches:

    - Health & fitness (lose weight, gain muscle, ...)
    - Wealth (money, job and everything related ...)
    - Relationship (dating, getting your ex back, ...)

It is impossible to not be interested in something inside it. However, make sure you solve a BIG problem for your customers. If you don't solve problems, you're not going to be successful. Make sure to ask your prospects what are their problems and LISTEN.

I don't understand why you continue to start threads about how to find a niche.

You've tried every piece of software available to "find a niche" - except the one thing that works....your mind. I don't know what anyone can add to the advice given in previous threads. You have to open your eyes and your mind and look around you to find niches. You didn't take the answers seriously - laughing at the idea of "chairs" as a niche, etc.

One thing you were advised in previous threads is to avoid the MMO niche ...so you chose the MMO niche

You need to go back to your previous threads - and re-read the answers with an open mind. Read through all the threads at one sitting and maybe you'll begin to see that niches are easy to find and evaluate if you don't over complicate it.

I'm not putting you down but in addition to the threads above you've asked the "niche" question in many other threads. This is the basis for your business - choosing a niche. If you continue starting over with the "how" question without taking previous answers as real advice, you won't get it.

January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.

Good research, but 3 months later if I am still struggling to find a niche don't you think that I should ask to see if there is anyone that says something that makes something click. You only need to be right in I.M. once.

Maybe a little more time searching for niches,
and less time asking duplicate questions on forums might help.

You don't need to be utterly passionate about the niche you're getting into, otherwise you might spend a long time floundering about in search of it. As long as you're halfway interested in the niche, you should be able to make something out of it. Don't get overly picky about niche selection, otherwise you won't be able to make any progress - don't keep researching on and on about the "perfect" niche, because you won't make any money at all doing this.

You can always enter additional niches down the road, so don't think you're making some kind of permanent decision that you'll never be able to get out of.

My thought was that perhaps if you read all the previous answers at one sitting - the topic of finding niches might start to come together for you.

I think that you will be surprised at how many people actually like the same things you like. If the niche you are interested in is not over saturated with marketers then that may be a blessing in disguise.
