Finally...

Well, these last few days have been a very proud time for me. I have been lurking around these forums for a couple of years now, buying this WSO and that WSO. Some I have not been happy with, some I have. But all in all, they have provided me with a valuable insight in the IM world - what works and what doesn't. I very rarely post here, which is a bit selfish, but I didn't feel like I had anything to say of value.
Up until Friday, the best day I have EVER had was an affiliate commission of $12. I tried to replicate it, but didn't work. So I continued digging for ways to improve, or to even make another $12. My head was buzzing was ideas, but to be honest I was lazy and didn't implement anything. I was comfortable with my day job - it was paying the bills and was giving me a semi-social life.
On Feb 17th, I was made redundant from my job as an insurance advisor. I was quite glad to be honest - it was 30 miles from home (60 in total - back and forth) and was costing a lot in fuel. I was also paid for six weeks without having to be at work.
With this break, and having nothing to do as all my friends were at work, I dug out a few old WSO's I had bought. I thought I'd give something a go. I decided to combine a few methods taught in different ebooks that I had and try to make some cash. What should have taken a few hours to do, I was spreading it out over days.
Article marketing and info products was the way I went. I started researching niches a different way (it was taught in a completely different ebook that I had for a completely different method) for my article marketing plan. Once I found a niche in demand, I started writing articles. I submitted them to sites suggested in, again, a completely different ebook. I did this for 2 weeks, and then I started creating very short ebooks myself using information from here and there and then creating backlinks for them. I did this for all of February (missing a day here and there) and most of March.
Back to the original point I'm making - on Friday, I generated $54 in commission and through sales of my own product. On Saturday I did $61 and today I have nothing so far. But the day's not over yet.
I think I'm an example of someone who didn't believe, but just needed a push to make it work. I now feel that I have a business plan in place, and hopefully I can now start to accomplish my goals.
I think what I am doing has potential to make $100 a day - one of my goals is to become a teacher in this area. Eventually I will write my own ebook to help others to achieve similar success. It's just an idea - if I continue to make around $50 a day, I will be happy to pass my knowledge on. I'm no expert, in fact I'm still learning. But it's a start, and I can now plan ahead.
