Career Advice for a student
Hi everyone,
Im not sure this forum is the ideal place to post this question as the main topics seem to relate mostly to self run sites rather than advertising firms etc so if anyone has a suggestion of where else to ask i would be greatfull of that too.
I am currently looking at getting into the digital marketing industry full time. At pressent I have no formal quolifications higher than high school but have read a fair bit on the subject and know quite alot about SEM as well as HTML css and javascript.
I am not sure which option would help me get a full time job in internet marketing though. At the moment the main options i can see are
- Do a degree in marketing (would take me about 5 years around work and cost about £7000)
- Take a mix of specific short courses in internet marketing from recognised institutes that however dont offer a quolification at the end (such as google training programs)
- build up a portfolio of sites i have created and marketed.
- or build up a single site to a higher level and do some short courses in internet marketing.
