George W $35,000 Domain Gaffe

Thought this was funny - the company that's supposed to handle the domain for the George W Bush library domain accidentally let it expire for a day, when someone else grabbed it for $10. The company handling the site had to buy it back for $35k.

Expensive mistake

Same here. Mind you not surprising for us Warriors that George Wright is more important to us than George Bush

In the news, "expire for a day" sounds better than "forgot about the darned domain through the entire redemption period".

Let's just hope the 35k came from private funds.....

Hmmmm. It should take at least 30 days after expiration before it can be bought, not one day.

This happens all the time. The US Dept of Commerce let buyusa.com expire and it was snapped up for $30,000
