Best way to monetize a tutorial website

I have a website of mine that can do really well on some days but others it makes a few bucks. I mostly monetize through Amazon but the kind of items I promote are quite expensive so conversion isn't great.

What do you think would be the best to monetize a tutorial website? I've tried adsense but wasn't really getting clicks.

Thanks in advance

do you have the name of the site so we can look at? do you have a tips or newsletter sign up so you can per-sell/warm up some of the leads who are not ready to purchase?

Is the site integrated with social media so that you can get bookmarks/likes and interact with those who havent purchased yet? Maybe offering a starter type of product in addition to others would help with a more consistent income as well.

With so little information, it's hard to reply. But I would definitely suggest getting an autoresponder. For a tutorial website, you may try charging monthly for your services to create an ongoing income. In addition, once you have your autoresponder setup, you can start creating a list. It's much easier to sell high dollar items to a list after you have formed a relationship with them. You should be sending them content or a newsletter of some sort on a regular basis to establish that relationship.
      Good luck with your site!

As it's a tutorial site you must be teaching people do do something. If you can find products/services (shovels) then you can make a killing. This is very nice business model where you don't have to convince the buyer because you already shown them how to use the shovel.

It does sound like a good business model. Amazon usually converts well.

Getting more traffic to your site maybe the answer you are looking for. Everyone should have a good social media plan. Your niche may warrant joining a forum specific to those that would be interested in you.

There is no best way to monetize a website. What works for some doesn't always work for others. Adsense brings clicks if you put the code in the right parts of your webpage. See the heat map in your adsense back office.

I would use multiple methods of monetizing not just one. Yes adding a lead capture form will help you build a list too.

After setting this stuff up on your site, I would then focus on driving quality high targeted traffic into your site. Traffic is the blood of your online business.
