Default recording website movie to YouTube...

Hi everyone,

You know those videos on YouTube that you can see someones website and then they are able to move around their site with a mouse and talk at the same time.

How do I do that too. Do I need some sort of a software to do this.

Yup he's right. Thats Camtasia at work. And you gotta need a mic to do the talking.

You have access to Camtasia?

Once you get setup with Camtasia, it's fairly easy to setup your workspace and record your screen. Nothing terribly complex, which is pretty nice. Just make sure to have a good quality mic and cam if you are planning on having audio and/or video of yourself.

Another screencasting (live) option is dimdim.com

Hey Tal,

I personally use Camtasia... Here is one of my video tutorials for you to check:
If this is what you are looking for... then get Camtasia for free, and get a microphone and start recording your own videos. It's quite easy.

Regards,
Wassim

Don't worry Tal,

it's as easy as using Microsoft Word.... Just download the software and give it a try

Well,

I already downloaded the software and have tried to do this and succeeded. Now I just need to figure out out to zoom in and zoom out when I record the video.

I also need a MIC for my laptop to add audio to the video.

Tal,

when you finish recording the movie, you save it.... but the file saved will be viewable in the Camtasia program only...
In order to upload the video to youtube, you need to produce the video... There is an icon for that (It looks like a movie icon). Click on it and you will get a dialog box with all the details about your video: export type (MPEG, Quicktime movie, etc...) and many other step-by-step options... just go through them and you will understand.

One of the first few wizards dialog boxes ask you if you want to use the zoom-in and out option... it is called Pane or something like that... make sure you check this box and the program will zoom in and out automatically for you in the final version of the movie.

I hope what I said make sense, and sorry about my english.

Regards,
Wassim

Hi again tal,

I launched my Camtasia software and capture a few screen shots for you to check. So forget what I said previously and focus here:

If your sound is pretty low, then you will need to increase the volume... Check this image to see how to increase the sound by 25% ( You can keep doing this over and over, but try to keep the voice clear).
http://www.smartwayservice.com/increase_volume.gif

To let the software zoom-in and zoom-out automatically, Make sure you "Apply Smart Focus". Check the following image:
http://www.smartwayservice.com/smart_focus.gif

Lastly, to produce the video click the icon I mentioned previously. Here is an image for you:
http://www.smartwayservice.com/produce_video.gif

I hope this helps you now.

best regards,
Wassim

If I were to go to an electronics store here in Toronto, what do I need to get specifically to record my voice to Camtasia?

Is it just called a MIC?

I went to the store and told him I want a good microphone, he charged me quite high for a stupid one hehe.. alright that was before I join the warrior forum... now I know this is a really stupid question

Wassim

Do I actually make the video and audio at the same time?

While I am making a new video that is VIEWABLE and talking to my mic, it is not recording it.

I tried all 3 USB ports that are on my laptop.

Anyone?
