An appeal that COULD save YOU money, and increase sales!

I don't know what %^&* thought this up, but a number of people have lost MY business. They waste their own time, other peoples times, etc... HECK, google should brand these sites the way that some brand virus sites. One day, they MAY! Heck, many of these sites now don't even really USE the video! They STILL display text ONLY! At least one of the sites now plays over RADIO, in part, as a commercial. Maybe they can capture some of those they lost because of it on the computers. At least you EXPECT a radio to be audible.

It is bad enough that they once had these instant audio sites were they ALSO had audio going. NOW, they basically forgo the text all together, and display it little by little while having AUDIO read it aloud.

Many people, including me, would like to be able to skip OVER the hype! Skip OVER the stuff we know. Maybe we want to buy the product, but CAN'T, because that is included at the END of the video! MAYBE we want to review a part. or pause. OK, you have DENIED us that option. Do you REALLY feel 100% of those people will just listen to the WHOLE audio again?

We MIGHT be at work, or in public. Maybe a library, or seminar! MAYBE we are on the phone. MAYBE your careless use of OUR resources has caused us to have to close the browser.

The result? We may not want to do business with you EVER again, or may decide not to buy the product, or forget about it ENTIRELY!

It costs YOU more money, YOU can handle fewer visitors, and more may LEAVE.

PLEASE guys, STOP THIS!

Steve

    Or...

Maybe some of them have TESTED it and found they get a higher conversion with audio only.

You may not like it, I know I don't, but who are you to tell them how to run your business just because of a pet peeve? Ban them from Google? That's a bit far-reaching isn't it?

Again, I don't like auto-audio sites either, but I do what you do...or don't do...I don't do business with them either, but I'm not going to dictate how they run THEIR business.

What if THEY said WE SHOULD include NOTHING but audio on OUR sites?

If you're at the library you shouldn't have the volume turned up anyway.

If you're at work, you shouldn't be surfing the web.

If you're on the phone, you should be paying attention to the person you're talking to, not clicking around on the computer.

    Yeah, talk about rude.

    All the best,
    Michael

Steve, I could see how this type of marketing would appeal to the younger generation.

I did NOT say BAN them from google, but FLAG them, so people KNOW that there will be audio, etc... BLARING upon loading.

At the library, WHO even thinks about such things? Sometimes I go to mail, and go where they ask me to.

As for calls, maybe I went to the site first. Maybe it is someone I don't care to talk to. Maybe I'm on hold.

And if they said include nothing but audio, the internet could come to a STANDSTILL! I can tell you I would NOT go to google, wikipedia, warrior forum, etc.... To me, the internet would become WORTHLESS for anything but a way to communicate with the systems ***I*** want to.
