Problem Articles At EzineArticles.com?

Hi. One of my articles submitted to ezinearticles.com has not been approved citing "excessive anchor text" as the reason.

Now I only have one link in that article which is in the resource box.

Does anyone here know what it is exactly they mean by that?

I´ve already written their support, but came here in case someone has had the same problem as before?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I'm guessing that it's not an issue with the number of links, but with the number of words you have anchored to the link. If memory serves, EZA allows three words of anchor text. Hope that helps.

EZA allows three words in the anchor text but also more if it makes "sense" and doesn't look like the anchor text is misused for SEO reasons.

Thanks for that information! I recently submitted 2 articles EzineArticles.com for the very first time. I hope I won't have the same problem you had.

    AIM,

This has used to drive me crazy because I did not know what it meant.

    Now I do:

When you enter your link in the resource box, make sure that if the link is in WORDS, that you have 3 words only.

    Does that make any sense?

      Tal,

I know. When I saw it, I was really confused as well. And I know it takes a while for support to answer back (and it´s the weekend!).

That´s what makes the warriorforum so good. The community gets back to you before support does!

I remember the 'good ole days' of EZA when articles got through without a hiccup as long as they were halfway decent. But, like everything else, it only took a few to ruin the party. Don't get me wrong, I am all for quality content, but I pull my hair out when I am faced with absolutely ridiculous re-submissions for such minor things.

      Hi Eric

I know. I´ve only just gotten back to IM. I do remember it used to be so easy to submit to EZA. Really annoying, but I guess they are also trying to protect their reputation.

I just look at it this way. As long as they make an effort in having quality content in their system (whether it it looks reasonable to me or not), Google will continue to consider them with considerably "high" regards. And in that way, I am benefitting from their "neurotic" rules as well.

      They still accept crappy articles.

I even saw an article that they promoted on Twitter that had several gramatical errors, one punctuation error and a spelling/part of speech error.

      I had to laugh.

I laughed a bit at that. I have seen some get through the cracks too. Just seems for all of the things to call an article out on, small URL discrepancies seems to be the BIGGEST problems, when plenty of horribly written articles get through.
