I am thinking Truth About Abs hands down. It is I believe it is the hottest selling product on Clickbank history. I could be very wrong but I think it sold over a quarter million copies. I made some sales off of that product myself.

I've purchased it (Truth About Abs), used it, and I wholly agree it is a great product.

        BUT
(that's a big but just in case you weren't aware)

Anyone who has been actively searching for an "ab product" will have come across this thousands, if not millions, of times. Every time a consumer, potential customer, call them what you will, searches for information on great abs, they are greeted with a hyperlink that will lead them to this product.

So, if they haven't already purchased it, what do you have to offer that may lead them to buy it? I'm sure Mike Geary (the vendor) will testify that he still makes thousands of sales of this product month in month out, but this will typically be through unique methods, that neither him or millions of affiliates have tried before.

In all honesty, this is NOT one of those products where you can simply put up a review, have a bundle of traffic coming to that review, and then expect sales...It just won't happen. No matter how targeted the traffic is that is coming to your offer, I can guarantee that the vast majority have seen this offer before, and have simply clicked the back button on the PC screen, and moved onto the next article, blog, etc.

Mike does offer some fantastic affiliate materials - access to his thousands of articles, a free e-book that you can rebrand with your own affiliate links, a newsletter with tips and techniques for articles, blogs, PPC, etc...but once again I return to - What makes you different? What makes you unique?

I would hazard a guess that in order to profit from this product, you will have to offer a wealth of your own freebies, have numerous videos, articles, etc. and an extremely well-thought out email series.

You should also remember that this product has been in the marketplace for approximately 3 years now, so once again, many people interested in producing great 6-pack abs will have seen the sales page many times over.

He also offers a 21-day trial of the product for $4.95, however, even this method of pre-selling has been flogged to death. I would, firstly, concentrate on adding loads and loads and loads of useful content and building a relationship with your readers. Additionally, Mike now often JV's with other fitness experts such as Craig Ballantyne, Joel Marion, Vince Del Monte and John Romaniello in order to cross-promote their products.

I would personally say that Mike and John heavily concentrate on the nutritional side of producing great abs, whereas the others concentrate more on exercise. Sounds like you have a lot of research to do...Good Luck!

Do some market research and you'll know for sure. This involves looking at ClickBank, Keyword Spy, Quant cast, Compete and Yahoo. This will tell you what products are doing well on clickbank, their traffic, keywords, and links.

You should be able to see a few trends as to which one performs better. If you want to see the difference in quality you should go and purchase the top 3 products on that subject and see for yourself. Then you can create a bulleted review of each one to write an in depth review later on.

But it doesn't stop there. Each of the three products will have good selling points and bad selling points. Reveal those points for each product then start 3 completely different review sites on seperate domains and focus on the good points for each product and why its better than the other two for that particular reason you find in each product. There are different people looking for different things so it should appeal to a broad market depending of course on what it is you find as their strengths and weaknesses of each product.

Ssshhhh...I didn't say this..But you may want to search for threads started by Bryan Kumar. You may discover a little jewel which will be more profitable for you than a Clickbank product.

I've promoted Truth About Abs and made sales, but the conversions have been pretty poor. Usually less than 0.5% conversions. Market saturation I expect is the cause of that.

While not specifically about abs, I've had good success promoting Joel Marion's Xtreme Fat Loss Diet. You can find that on Clickbank. My conversions have been around 2% for that with about 75% paying the final installment after the $4.95 trial.

Do "Video sales" pages for clickbank products really sell better?
