Whats the quickest way to get a new domain live

I typically have to wait 48 hrs after changing name servers to get my new domain live. Is there a way of making this happen faster ?

Nope It takes a few hours, I've had sites up in as little as 15 minutes. Depends I guess!

Change registrars. Some DNS switches happen faster than others.

Try CheapDomainNames.com. Not the cheapest (ironically) but great service and fast DNS switching.

    Good luck!

YES! I can register a domain and have it live very quickly. I used GoDaddy for domains and Hostgator for hosting. My sites are live in minutes it seems... Not anywhere near 48 hours unless I am missing something. They did in fact used to take up to 48 hours for domain propagation to happen but I believe that is long long ago?

I can usually do my kw research, pick a niche and domain, buy a domain, point my name servers and have the site built and getting indexed in a day.

Purchase the hosting before hand and have it ready to go.

I use Bluehost and all the domains I have purchased went live from the moment I purchased them.

It depens on what domain registrar you use. I use godaddy and my sites get alive within 20-50 min.

Sometimes one's provider's DNS cache is updated more quickly than one realises - it is just one's local cache that isn't reflecting the change.

Sometimes (if you're on Windows), opening Command Prompt and typing ipconfig /flushdns speeds things up a little.

I've used hostgator, and have registered with namecheap and godaddy. I can get a site up in about 3 minutes with an index page showing.

I use godaddy as a registrar and have a dedicated server with a company called quantum tech. By the time I add my sites to the server, they are live. Usually under 5 minutes.
