Article marketing vs. Press release

I know ezine has been rough on many of you guys.

And I heard that article base is no longer accepting same content of articles.

Do you think doing press releases(free) would be better to gather traffic then article marketing.

I stick to both but I want to know on your thoughts?

A press release, news release, media release, press statement or video release is a written or recorded communication directed at members of the news media for the purpose of announcing something ostensibly newsworthy.

This is the digital world, the world of the internet, when anyone can submit a press release, whether it is something newsworthy or not. You dont have to worry about the "press" actually accepting it because it's online.

I'm considering writing a press release alerting people that the sky is blue

What I have observed for the past months that I have been doing SEO, press release ranks faster in Google than articles. I can see my press release submissions in page of 1 of Google when I search for my keywords.

If your articles are accepted by article directories, then that's still a better way to get backlinks in my opinion. But with all the changes going on, it's easier to do press releases.

I don't think that the die hard marketers are going to give up on articles. It just a pain in the a-- with the extended wait times for approval. Articles will always be a great method of marketing.

Press releases are great too but there is a different process involved than submitting an article. Do a search to make find out exactly how they are done.

    Both are good.
