Open's and Click Through

In the IM niche, what's your average click through and opens when sending out broadcast or follow up?

    Open rates are inherently inaccurate and are not a
    reliable metric to use when comparing lists between
    different list owners.

    The open rates and click-through rates I get vary
    widely and depend upon a lot of factors.

    One of the biggest influences is the list segment
    I choose to send the e-mail to in the first place.

    Another important factor is the relevance of the
    offer I send to the particular list.

    For highly targeted messages to more specific list
    segments, I can see open rates in the 40-70%
    range and - sometimes even higher.

    However, a broader message to a more general
    list may only see open rates of 10-25% for example.

    Also, open rate figures depend upon the autoresponder
    provider or software you're using.
