How did you hear about Internet Marketing/Affiliate Marketing?

    My University Guitar Prof showed me all this stuff about affiliate marketing and SEO and I was blown away! It's been non-stop ever since. Must be something about musicians and wanting to make an easy buck so we can keep practicing 8 hours a day or something like that. (Although I think I practice less now!)

    Good poll! I happened upon IM completely by accident. I was on Twitter and saw someone promoting a beginner's course in IM. I thought it looked interesting, and it wasn't too expensive, so I thought, "well, if it's a scam, at least I haven't wasted a ton of money."

    I realized it wasn't a scam at all, and two year later, I've quit my job and now work full time in IM! WOOT WOOT!

    IM Specifically?

    It all started with creating a twitter account to promote my blogspot page about paid surveys. Someone called Kevin thomas sent me a tweet message (automated, but at the time I thought it was personal) telling me about the secrets to a free life and how it can be achieved through Network Marketing.

    That brought me to learn different marketing methods. After learning everything I could from my mentor and the site I was registered with, I started devouring the search engine.

    Until I stumbled upon the Warrior forum, where I learnt about Affiliate Marketing, Product Creation, Membership Sites and so forth... I decided that I preferred that over Network Marketing

    I downloaded a movie on torrent site where a guy put a video where he said that he have made 5k in 1 month. I then realized it was an mlm scheme and that it did not work, but then I searched online how to make money online (in french) and I found only BS like cheating casinos with a "winning system" I've been scammed 2 times with that, then I bought an other make money online ebook which was talking about PPc and affiliate sales and then I always continue to searh till I found this forum which is where I learned everything i know so far.

      I finally built a successful MLM downline. I was making about $800 per month off fast start bonuses and got my residual check up to about $1500. On day I went to log in and the site was down. A week later still down. They wouldn't answer the phone. Check didn't come.

      We were all pretty screwed.

      I went to google. How to make money online without joining MLM and came to a page about the rick jerk.

      Bought it.
