How can I get affiliates?

I'm putting together a product and would love to find some great affiliates. While I read a lot about affiliate marketing, I've found very little on getting affiliates for your products.

What are some good methods on getting good affiliates to sell your product?

I intend on finding some good JV's at first, and then taking it from there.

    Existing customers are often your best affiliates. The way to convert them is to teach them and give them great tools. (Graphics, banners, adwords ads, solo email copy, etc.)
