Getting new clients from website traffic?

I've been working for a small company doing presentation design for a few years now, and I would like to start getting my own clients. At the company that I currently work for all of our clients have come from word of mouth, but I would like to start implementing some of the strategies that I've learned here on the WF to build my own clientele .

I'm currently in the process of building a website, but I'm curious of how possible it will be to get new clients through website traffic alone. I'm hoping someone with a service based business can send me feedback on their experience?

    I suggest you have to dig, gather research on your niche market first. Do many original content articles and submit it to various sites. Good luck

    You need to build a website built around keywords your potential clients are searching. Build the site, and build it well. Follow SEO best practices, and market the site! Once it rises in the SERP's you're next question will be, "Hoe do I manage my lead database" :-)
