Restaurant niche sites?

I have been looking around the forum for a while, but haven't found an answer to this question: Do restaurants advertise a lot on the web? And could niche restaurant sites be profitable.

This drove my curiosity, because most restaurants dont have the large advertising budgets that many other sectors have to invest on the web. This is just a hunch, but a hunch by a complete noob. But I also suppose that there are always yellowpages types of sites that will display ads.

    I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but it
    sounds like you want to flip sites to restaurant
    owners or maybe sell advertising on a high traffic
    site?

    As a restaurant owner myself, I will agree that most
    of us "Mom and Pop" places don't have huge advertising
    budgets that say, real estate firms or insurance companies
    have. or even some used car lots for that matter.

    I think you can create sites on this niche by sharing information or tips, it is very funny and attractive (At least I haven't seen one restaurant niche site before). If you create restaurant niche sites, you should integrate them with social media - That will be effective to get traffic.

    Few restaurants will spend money on online advertisement i think.
    Just like hotel. That's the difference of industries.
