Is internet MArketing is all about making MONEY

Internet Marketing is a separate profession and field just like engineering, medical, development, architecture etc.
But I feel that the people in the internet marketing talks more about the money than the new ideas, their visions and evolution of the internet marketing. Most of the people walk into the IM forums and the first thread they post is usually "I want to make more money in the very less time". Do you think that such attitude is a direct attack on the reputation of the internet marketing and it is not justice

    Well I think that it is only natural since people who work in Internet Marketing don't have a regular salary like doctors and other professions. Once you start earning money it is not as big concern as it used to be before and you'll start thinking about other things more. You pointed out a good thing and I would recommend a slight change of attitude since it can only improve results.

      Most professions are that BECAUSE they don't have a regular salary
      like employees

      Professionals get to make money in many interesting ways OUTSIDE
      having to have a 'job'. Employees don't. Or at least, not typically.

    I wouldn't agree. I'd say it's more like a career. For one, there's no structured
    training process or apprenticeship as there is with any profession.

    But I agree with your impression, that for many it's all about making money.

      Well you are doing mistake here SEO and IM is a profession now, I accept that their is not a degree of it because it is the part of marketing and now it is considered as a very important part of MBA marketing. Most of the professional IT courses institutes now have started giving the certifications of SEO and IM. Well, from my point of view in future if you are walking in the field of IM just for the sake of making money because you are jobless then you are making a mistake it will be not possible for you to make your feet strong on the ground with such intensions

    Money is the hidden factor behind almost every thing in life ... be it a profession or a career or whatever... (mostly all things in life revolves around it, but not all)

    But, if you are a newbie and creating a 'how to make money' thread as your very first thread in any internet marketing forum then you are simply leaving a bad impression for others.

    the first thing a newbie should do is to make himself familiar with the whole process and start using the search function to avoid being flamed by seniors... i would say its lot better to sit idle and not make any post if you don't have something useful to share other then creating rubbish threads!

    No matter what anyone says, people join the world of Internet Marketing to make money and it is all about the money. Noone wants to work for free, in fact your told give stuff away for free and provide valuable advise with the hopes that more people than not will buy products you either create or promote.

    But the difference is, do you make money even it means promising everything and delivering nothing. I believe as with every person on here, IM is also about providing value for money. Yes I will sell you a product but I firmly believe that the product will provide you the necessary tools to equip you to make a living off the internet.

    A good example is the amount of "gurus" who have been pushing those hockey push button profit systems, we know they don't work and it is nothing as they promise, yet it doesn't stop them. The flip side of the coin are people who are genuinely trying to help you to make a living online. One person in particular who I have always found to be insightful in his approach to helping others is a guy called Steve Weber, I'm willing a few people on here probably subscribe to him as well. There are many more who fit this bill as well and maybe people will give them a mention.

    Making money online can sometimes be difficult, and I for one defiantly know this, especially from the start and making your own product can be an absolute nightmare. So what's so good about this "Private Label Rights"? Well obviously that it's easy to set up and plus, you don't have to spend your time making your own product! Let's be honest would you rather spend the time making your own product or just receive one instantly in which you can alter and put it as your own product? I know which one I'd rather do.
