I am considering a domain that is 4 words long, which is longer than I would prefer, but would like some input.

Many of the 3 word domains I would like are already taken, yet very few sites in the niche are well optimized or targetted at making money.

The domain is win ____ ______ tips.com ..... where the two words form one noun, which is the niche.

Thoughts?

I have a couple of four word domains. They are exact match domains and they rank well. I drive traffic solely through search engines, so they could be seven word domains for all I care.

Now if you are looking for brand-ability then I wouldn't go for such a long keyword.

I have an ugly, HYPHENATED, four word domain that ranks #1 for my exact-match keyword and for other, more competitive keywords. Like BloggingPro, my traffic is all from search engines for that site and I've periodically compared my click rates to the average click rate for a position on page 1 of Google and the longer domain doesn't seem to be stopping me from getting my share of clicks at all.
