Does an income disclaimer NEED to be on the page or is

Hey gang,

I've Googled this for a bit, but get conflicting responses, so I'm asking you:

In terms of affiliate marketing / selling products online -- in an FTC compliant manner -- does the income disclaimer statement need to be ON the page (like in the footer) or is simply linking to a disclaimer page good enough?

    I think it needs to be on the page... to avoid claims you are trying to bury it.

    Hrmmm...so what purpose is there in linking to such pages in the footer then I wonder?

    Unless maybe the footer version should be a summary of what the disclaimer page states -- with instruction to visit that page for more details?
