Squeeze Page, Popup, Embedded in Sales page- HELP!

Warriors Help with this........

Do you recomend that I capture email addresses by:
having the url go to a squeeze page first, with the free report/ teaser?
Or have a pop up, appear approx.5 seconds after the person gets to my page and sees the offer and product for a moment, then , up comes the free report?
Or have the free report in the sales page copy , in the classic dashed line box?

My concerns have always been.
When using a squeeze page the person may not want the report and may be confused as to what my product actally is - as I dont mention the product that Im selling in the squeeze page, or give away what it is, Its basically teaser for my free report. And Its always seemed to me that when a person types in a url and sees the sales page, a connection begins with the product and they begin to read- then in comes the popup.
Which leads me to popup.

Anoying, sometimes, but to me a connection is made between url - product - free report.

And lastly, the classic embedded free report in the sales page to get the email address.

Your advice????
This has been driving me nuts.

    DQ70,

Don't beat yourself up about it. Just run a simple test and see what the results are.

You can use G's web site optimizer to do a simple A/B split test. Send half of your visitors to 1 page; the other half to the 2nd page.

Measure to see which variation gets the results you want. Whoever get's the more opt-ins or responses wins.

It's as simple as that. Never guess. Test Always. Results don't lie.

    Hope this helps.
