What Was Your Biggest Adjustment To Internet Marketing

There's a saying, "whoever makes the best adjustments in life wins." And that can include Internet Marketing.

For example, I've known people who went from failure to success almost overnight, by simply making a few adjustments.

What adjustment did you have to make to experience more success in Internet Marketing?

For example, a big adjustment I had to make to experience more success was getting rid of friends who drained my time. That wasn't easy because they were party animals like I used to be, but I found I couldn't do both.

    Hi Niche Man;

I had to make that adjustment too, in terms of backing away from the distractions and trying to be all things to all people.

But the REAL ADJUSTMENT I've made is FINALLY taking action. I spent an hour opting out of subscriptions, and took action.....no more putting success off, luckily my "WHY" was strong enough to carry me through the info overload years..........it's time.

    Good question you posed...................

As you both did, my biggest adjustment was getting rid of distractions (a couple negative friends and videogames) and start taking action. When you start learning is cool, but I believe firmly that the best way to learn is to practice and experiment with stuff.

1 hour of actually doing something is far better than 3 of studying from the best product.

Thats exactly the path i have taken in order to not get distracted and stay on task.

Taking action and having a focused mindset has gotten me further than bouncing around reading aff. emails all day

Since schools (and society) teach us to be the sheep, to follow and not lead, to be "like everyone else" - meaning working 9-5, the big adjustment was trying to learn how to manage my time independently.

Since I quit my 9-5 and was very happy about it, I refused to work 8 hours a day (even on Internet Marketing)... to only realize that SOME days I will do 18 hours worth of work, and others I can relax and not work at all. As long as I manage it properly.

I think a lot of people do not get much done because they do not have a "boss" telling them they have to actually do something. Once you realize that YOU are YOUR own boss and your success depends on YOUR efforts and make appropriate adjustments - you are good to go

The biggest thing that I had to do was change my workhabits.

When I first started out, I thought* I was working hard.. but I was only giving my business about 2hrs of solid work a WEEK if that.

Once I started to treat my business like a job..in the fact that I made myself sit down and focus on WORK for a few hours a day... that's when I started to reap the rewards.

It's easy to play make believe.. a lot of people get stuck there.

I am willing to do today what other's aren't, so I can live tomorrow, how other's can't.

    Are you?

Yup I concur with Terri. Taking action is the biggest adjustment. It's what John Reese likes to say - Stop Dreaming and Start Doing. Taking action also helps you to really master something, because true learning happens when you apply what you've read. Otherwise, it's just information, not knowledge.
