Are there any sites just as popular as Fiverr?

I was curious if there was any sites that had gigs that cost a bit more but you would obviously get a little bit more quality. Seems that some of the high rated guys offer great gigs but beyond that it's a shot in the dark with most workers. So most of the time for 5 bucks, you get what you pay for.

So any sites someone could recommend?

    I think you hit the nail on the head re the top-rated guys on Fiverr offering good gigs etc....
    Depending on what you want done, Freelancer.com could be worth a shot.
    Odesk is good- seems to be better quality and there is more/better protection for both parties

    Add this re Odesk-
    They also offer a mechanism whereby you can actually monitor the desktop of of someone doing hourly-paid work for you...gives you peace of mind that the time booked is time spent on your project. Likewise, their system for service providers to book their time is smooth and functional- so all told, a nice set-up

    have you tried elance? Also, just google freelance forums and you can get forums that are pretty thick with people offering services
