Does google analytics track bots?
I recently switched to google analytics because it gave much more info than the WP wassup plugin does, and because the wassup plugin was causing visible errors.
With the wassup plugin I would typically get around 70-100 hits a day, most were bots or spiders or whatnot, and only like 20 were people. Google analytics does not allow me to differentiate between bots and people.
General web consensus is that google only tracks people who have javascript enabled, so most bots do not register except for some bots like some bot program called "gnomez" apparently.
Is this still true? Am I really getting 40 or so hits a day? Or do more spiders and bots now execute javascript?
