YouTube Account Terminated For "Deceptive" Link?

My YouTube account was recently terminated. Originally I thought it was because they didn't like a slide on it alluding to drug use. However, they could have banned it because of the type of link I had in the description box.

The link went something like this :-

http://SendTo.cc/www.URL.com

"www.URL.com" is actually just a folder of the domain SendTo.cc (not mine, wish it were.) In this folder I have code that redirects to my affiliate link.

I recently realized you could have multiple dots in folder names, so why not make it look like a real site? He he.

It might have backfired on me

To avoid stuff like this from happening you could always use bit.ly

Don't use bit.ly or any other free service. Its bad in the long term. Jason Fladlien had a webinar on this where he and Wil Mattos go into detail as to why. You can create redirects yourself. Its worth investing the time in mastering this as your income depends on those affiliate redirect links.

(Above is not an affiliate link.)

Jason gives enough information where you can do this for free yourself. I'm doing it myself for free, takes just a minute or two with Filezilla. Its real easy. You get full control over your affiliate re-directs. It may involve buying a new domain name, or you could use an existing one of yours.

Try using an authority site such as squidoo I've done and they never did anything since then. I think they don't like redirects.
