Hey guys,

I've been thinking of trying some stuff out that I've read about here. However I would like some input from you guys to help me decide on how I should do it...

So here are my questions:

Which do you prefer more: a blog or a site built from scratch?

And if you prefer a blog, which do you prefer and why as well as what are your top choices for plugins, as marketers, of course.

Also some plugin descriptions would be nice.... if you can spare the time
#blog #plugins #prefer #site
  • Well, it depends on what you want to use it for...

That will be the main determining factor in the decision

Blog or website from scratch; both have their features, but what really matters is your requirements.

Blogs: As blogs are easy to setup and to get started with; without knowing any coding or programming, they are very popular among people these days who are willing to get online exposure. Blogs are also a good way to get things done easily and swiftly.

Websites: For websites, you need to know basic coding (HTML/CSS) to develop and maintain your website (or you can outsource it to others to maintain it for you). Websites also need your attention in following:

      - you have to make sure that the code is clean (and valid)
      - you have to install various social plugins manually (most of the time); whereas in blogs (WP/CMS), it is just a few clicks away.
      - each time you want to change something on your site, it takes several minutes to do so. Whereas in blogs, everything is done on run-time.

      Hope it helps.

      Regards,

Well, questions like this will NOT get you started. It's just another form of postponing the action: "I am doing research".

Blogs are websites, too. And they are also built from scratch.

Knowing nothing about your business plan, about your goal with the site/blog, about your marketing plan etc. - the question is completely nonsense. It will NOT help you.

As for blogs and plugins... don't start another useless thread. There is enough info here:

(+ about a hundred of duplicate threads, LOL)

I would go for a blog like anyone else here due to the fact of how easy it easy to use. And of course as all here already mentioned you should get the All In One Seo plugin. There are plenty of plugins to choose from! I would go with the Google XML aswell

If you need any help regarding SEO optimizing your blog, please let me know.
