OK, Here it is!

I am trying to update a blog site from manual entered content to auto content these are the plugins that are recommended by Brian G. Johnson:

all-in-one-seo-pack
astickypostorderer
auto-content-answers
auto-content-video
commentluv
comment-warning
google-sitemap-generator
internal_link_building
kb-robotstxt
keywordluv
link-cloaking-plugin
ozh-who-sees-ads
pingback
sem-dofollow

Using Filezilla I have tried transferring them to the pugins folder of the blog site, one at a time and all at once. The transfer notes in Filezilla always say that the transfer was successful. However nothing shows up in the dashboard of the blog site when I click on plugins and refresh.

I have been at this for 4 days now. I need help Please.

Is there another folder inside the folder you are transferring? You have to be copying you the lowest level folder for the plugin (the one that has all the files directly inside it).

A lot of the plugins have a directory inside a directory and if you copy up the outer directory the plugin wont show up on the list.

    Hope that makes sense!

Have you used Filezilla before? Sometimes, and I have done this, you think you are uploading to one file, but you really have the higher level file selected. Check through your files, just to be sure it's not uploaded to the wrong location.

Did you upload .zip file? You should not upload the .zip file using filezilla.

14 plugins seems like A LOT to me. I would trim a few personally.

If you're really stuck don't bother even using an FTP program. Do it through the word press dashboard. GoTo Plugins-->Add New-->Upload--> follow the instructions.

If you must use filezilla, make sure you extract the files from the zip folder first.

You have to install these plugin directly from the dashboard of your wordpress website. First download all these plug-ins on your desktop or anywhere in your computer where you can easily access it. Then log-in on your wordpress dashboard and look for the "plug-in" navigation on the left hand side. Click "add new."

    Then click "Upload"

Then select the browse button and find the plug-ins that you've downloaded

    Then click install.

After installing it. Activate the plugin.

    Hope that helps.
