Whats Your thought on using Fire Sale Tactics?

One of the prime examples of a fire sale is the WSO offerings.

Here the vendor offers their product at a heavily discounted price to start off and then increases the price after x number of units are sold.

Another form of fire sale is the wacky Wednesday girls using the dime sale tactic. Very effective for creating mad cash and a list of KNOWN buyers.

Another well known tactic is and has been used by Jeremy Burns with his sourcecode blowouts sales over a 7day period.

Then there is MR Frank Kerns 4 day 50% off sale. I do class this as a fire sale because you are offering a discount to entice people to buy; that may have been sitting on the fence.

So what type of fire sale do you like or dislike and if you do run them; do you automate the task of changing prices, dates, quantities and text or do you have some means of doing this on auto-pilot.

Using "firesale tactics' Or a sense of urgency is necessary to get your product out there. Most people are procrastinators so when you place a little urgency with something as well as a great incentive, you will get your product out there in a much more efficient way. Otherwise people will always say in their mind "I can always get 'X' later"...

    I am all for it.

      Thanks for you insight Ryan.
What's your favorite method of creating the urgency other than just saying the offer will be removed without further notice.

Do you or have you ever used a system where the dates change, prices change and quantity changes either manually or automatically?

Building trust is most important. ACTUALLY doing what you say you will. TOO many marketers out there try to instill a Fear of loss but it is only a tactic.

I don't want to be like them because they are just using tactics to get you to do what they want.

Instead, tell your prospect something you plan on sticking to. If they don't respond to it, then create another promotion. As long as you are sticking by your guns...You are sticking out above the crowd and people will trust you more. That will lead to word of mouth and a bigger list that is loyal.
