WHEN THE HONEYMOON IS OVER - WHERE DO YOU PROMOTE YOUR PRODUCTS?

Internet marketers are generally good at creating a 'launch' a 'big buzz' - but once the initial chatter about a product has died down -what methods do you use and where do you promote your product long term?

Some products only have a short shelf life - so after the big launch it doesn't really matter - but what do you do with products with a long term value?

Is it using affiliates through clickbank?

Is it continual emails to new lists?

Share your ideas here on what happens or what you think should happen to a product after the 'honeymoon period'...

    I don't do "big" launches. I create evergreen products; I want them to sell consistently for at least three years, so my launches are all my own work, so to speak, I don't have JV partners or anything else.

    Why? I'm a control freak. :-) (Joke) Seriously, I'm hugely busy with my own stuff, JV partners would add extra work, and my own launch formula works for me --- if it isn't broken, it doesn't need fixing.

    Here's my launch formula:

    1. As soon as I get the IDEA for the product, I buy a domain name and start a blog. This kick starts the traffic. I like to have the blog up and running at least a couple of months before I launch the product;

    2. Add content to the blog, and start a list for the product. Link to the blog from some of my other sites to help it along. Also write some articles and post to EA;

    3. Set up a Squidoo lens for the product;

    4. Write emails for the list once it has 100 subs -- send a short message once a week with some useful info, or a freebie;

    5. Close to launch day: write a press release (great for long term traffic);

    6. Launch the beta ebook/ course to list subscribers -- at half price, in exchange for testimonials, and feedback;

    7. Launch!

    8. Add a blog post once a week or once a month... and send out messages to my wonderful subscribers to keep them updated with news.

    That's it -- not complicated. I might send out another press release or two, and post more articles to Ezine Articles to keep the traffic coming in.

    This works for me. :-)

    Cheers

    Angela

      That's a great blow by blow account of how anyone newbie or not, can launch a product - thanks for that. You say you don't have JV partners - does that mean you don't use affiliates? (this is an important point)

      Isn't the internet an incredible tool?

      I'm in Northern Ireland posing a question, and a few minutes later - someone in Australia responds with such a brilliant answer!

      thanks again....
