Am I on the Right Track?

I am new to the IM business and started in January of this year.

I have a few articles on articlebase, squidoo, and hubpages that are getting about 200 views per day (on pages 1 & 2 of google). All the links go to my squeezepage for my autoresponder and I pick up about 7-8 subscribers per day offering a free report on "8 female types". My niche is the art of seduction and I now have approx. 200 subscribers working through approx. 43 autoresponder messages I created. I quickly learned to give free information and tips BEFORE any product pitches in these "ar" emails, but my conversion rate is horrible. Approx 50% of my subscribers are on message 25-30 (4-5 product pitches within those 25-30), but I've only made 1 sale.

Not sure what else I can do, but I'm very happy with the traffic, and my list is growing daily. I just don't know if I'm taking the best advantage of this traffic.

Any advice?

You are definitely on the right track! Getting 8 subscribers per day is pretty impressive. Keep doing what you're currently doing and you'll get more sales naturally.

The traffic and number of leads you have generated certainly show your are on the right track.

If you are concerned about the number of sales then take another look at your sales emails text (are you writing them or did you get them pre-written?) and the actual product you are selling.

Does the product have any EPC figures? If so compare those to your sales rate.

Any idea on your demographic? Sometimes you'll find that certain products just don't convert as well, maybe you are attracting lots of people who are only looking for freebies.

Getting that many subscribers is very good. I would think that building a targeted list just maybe needs a bit of growth when you think of percentages of sent-opened emails. The higher the open rate in a larger audience should give better returns over time. I would not change a thing and find ways to capture attention and maybe even a bit of humor with no selling sometimes.

Maybe a soft sell with another type of free report or small ebook sent out to your existing base, and have some good tips in there with maybe one related product that you create yourself. Maybe along the lines of conversation techniques. Giving something that is valuable for free will build confidence in your list.
