Hi all warriors,

I am finishing the last final touches to my next launch, and I need honest feedback on the website.

The site is localcityportals.com

Be brutal! Thanks

Since there's not much content there, there's not too much to say.

The concept is easy to grasp, the page has an easy, well structured layout.
Interesting thing will actually be the sales points you put on the other pages.

The header looks a bit retro to me and pure white on the right side of the header looks like the graphics guy ran out of ideas. Through the menu bar the space above is created as 1 space, but the graphic breaks it into 2 spaces: graphic and white.

Definetely add an autoresponder series to capture leads. How to make money with city portals, niche portals etc.

    Ralf,

Thank you for your honest feedback, you are right the header is not 100% the way I would like it, but the concept is there.

Where should I add the lead capture form? Should I place it on the homepage or make a separate page just for leads?

Thank you again for taking the time to give me your feedback.

I have good results with putting the sign up form on every page PLUS using a popup for higher attention on the entry page.

So the visitor learns about the sign up through the popup, and if he decides to click the popup away, then he still can decide to sign up later because the sign up form is on every page.

In my opinion, the website does not capture my attention.

I would definitely organize each guide in alphabetical order, but that may just be my anal retentive side coming out.

Portal is a term that not everyone is familiar with. I would definitely define the term, portal in the welcome section to help users understand exactly what they are purchasing.

I would use the 'Home Page' to explain about your business... who you are... how you can help other businesses. There needs to be more content on your site in order to keep visitors and encourage them to come back again.

Find ways to make the site interesting. Look at other websites that's similar to yours to spark new ideas.

    I hope this helps!

Why not put the opt in form in the white space on the right side of the header?

I agree... looks like the perfect spot to me and would break up all that white space.

      Good Luck with your site.
