Why do I love google? No one can disagree that they are the biggest influence in the way in the direction the web evolves. They are a leader in in web usability and user friendliness. They think about absolutely everything that may improve their products, take notice of user suggestions. People think Apple is leading the way, but clearly Google has the upper hand. Their diversity is second to none and they provide nearly every service for free(who cares if it's ad supported?).

Tell me why you love Google. I know you do.

I'll just say reasons 1 thru 20 are pretty much every "product" that google ever comes out with.

But the big 3 are Adsense, Adwords, & Search. Those 3 have helped provide me a big chunk of the millions I've done online. Even if Google says F-U tomorrow, I'll still be a happy man.

They are also THE ONLY search engine I use. Microsoft (Love windows, hate Bing) tries to compete with Google by advertising Bing all the time. They are trying to shove it down our throats and that is what turns people away.

It's not that Bing has been a bad search engine. It's just the fact that Microsoft has heavily promoted it.

Lesson to be learned is that Google has NEVER advertised (Maybe in the early stages back in 2000). It has always been "word of mouth" and they are always evolving. They are always trying to come up with solutions to enhance our web experience while other search engines try to get out attention through advertising mediums.

Actions speak louder than words or tv commercials

I also agree with you. Google is just wonderful, anything i type on the search engine, however long the question is, sometimes i even type almost the length of a paragraph, but their key word research is great. I normally get the response very quickly.

Google also has a variety of information, anything you think of, starting from news, current affairs, anything you think of, directions to certain areas, etc. thanks to the S.E.O. experts, they are doing wonders, they are geniuses.

So true, having a quirky commercial often limits what we imagine a brand to be if you get my drift - with google the image is of the background presence that is everywhere, all of the time.

My fav google is organic search and how it evolves with each new update.

It's a love/hate relationship between google...I hate the way that they constantly change things around making it harders for marketers alike...but I love the way you can go straight up to the top of google using the right techniques and platforms.

Because I like the way the word sounds as a verb ;-) When someone calls and they ask, "What are you doing?" and I can say, "I'm just googling around" or when wants to know something I can say, "...just google it!"

      Pure marketing genius IMHO!

If you mean Adsense, I used to feel that way but for a long time now the Adsense revenue per click has gone down so much that I'd rather have those clicks go elsewhere.

yeas that's absolutely true; but it is actually holding the majority in the market and I would like to see some thing better and competitive to Google.

Is there any chance that yahoo or Bing may come to the top ??

A year and a half ago I set up my site (bookmarks link in my sig). Okay, they initially indexed only FOUR pages of my site.

Six months ago - same four pages indexed.

Today - same FOUR pages indexed.

And only ONE of them is even a real PAGE - the index.

This despite the correct sitemap, the verification meta tag, etc., etc.

I rebuild and upload my husband's site and guess what? ALL but one of his 166+ pages of his site were indexed IN A MONTH!!

      What's up with that??

It's like, no wonder people aren't finding all of my pages on Google - they ain't there!

I know I'd be getting more traffic and making more sales if Google would get on the ball. It's not like I'm spamming or anything like that. My former site had over 180 pages and nearly 3/4 of them were indexed inside of a couple of months.

This site was a spin-off. I pulled the pages from the former domain and put them under their own domain and never more than FOUR "pages" have ever been indexed.

Did I freaking confuse Google by doing that? Did they get pissed at me for creating a new site? It's not like I left the pages on the former domain and duplicated them under the new domain. Besides which, the former domain (which I no longer own; I sold it), and the new domain have been on two completely different servers/hosts/whatever (the former on SBI, the bookmarks on GoDaddy) for over a year.

So no...I'm NOT LIKING Google right now, and will continue to NOT LIKE Google very much until they index my pages.

I'm continuing to build content pages that are continuing NOT to be indexed. In fact, if I had to wait until my pages were indexed before submitting the articles to any article directory, I'd be fully gray and in a wheelchair first - AND BROKE.

Nope. I can't wait around for Google and no, I'm NOT LIKING them very much right now...

I'd kind of like that because at least they're indexing my site!

Yahoo has 31 of my 70 pages indexed so far; Bing has 46. Google - FOUR.
