Do Any IM's Honor Guarantees?

I wonder how many internet marketers actually honor their guarantees. I've been on a big name marketer's list for over 3 years and after purchasing several items and never asking for a refund I finally asked for one for a product that was supposedly guaranteed and was not suitable for me, what do I get? no refund.
I guess most of these guarantees are'nt worth a toss, it's no wonder newbies get disilusioned with this game

It really depends on their reputation. For example, if there's someone on the WarriorForums with 4000 posts and they post a WSO with a guarantee, I'm sure they would honor it because it would hurt their future sales.

You are kidding right? You're can't seriously be suggesting that no-one actually stands behind their guarantee?

You have one person who doesn't give you a refund and you decide all guarantees are not worth a toss?

I'm sure you can't be serious..

No, I'm not suggesting that no one stands behind their guarantees, I should have said SOME guarantees rather than MOST guarantees,

If the guru you purchased had a guarantee and they won't honor, then charge their a*s back ASAP.

And yes, people honor guarantees. If you want to be assured you'll be able to get your money back, then only buy products sold through Clickbank. Easy refund process there.

Always, always, always stand behind your guarantee. It's what separates the legitimate business people from the scammers. Besides, if you sell through a third party like ClickBank or 2checkout.com they'll stand behind it for you.

  • I always honor my guarantees (even if it financially hurts).

A successful entrepreneur knows that a "long-lasting" business is about earning trust, building relationships, and overdelivering value.

It's all about the lifetime value of a client instead of the one-time profit from a victim.

The best policy for your online business is honesty. You have to build that trust and value it by sticking to your word.

I never ask for a refund unless it's for a very good reason. I've probably done it only two times through the years. Both times, I was refunded.

Did you get a response? Did you send to the correct email - and did you request the refund within the time period of the guarantee?

For example, if the product was offered through clickbank - you should request the refund from clickbank. Some sellers have help desks or specific email addresses for you to use so make certain your request is getting through.

And there are quite a few sellers who like to use the "refund" guarantee but can be very hard to find when you want a refund. No, it's not right - but yes, it does happen.

        Hi ,
No I did not get a response, I also sent to the correct address, and it was within the time limit, also it wasn't through clickbank or paypal just paid by card and for quite a large sum of money, this is a very well known marketer though with a supposedly good reputation.

You are making a rather big assumption based on one experience.

You can't buy everything online that has a guarantee, so I don't see how you can make an objective assessment. That being said, I can tell you that I give refunds, and have received refunds. There was only one exception where I didn't receive a refund, and that was earlier on in my IM career, though it cost me $400.

As far as your "no wonder" comment, did it ever occur to you that they may get disillusioned by reading wild claims of "most guarantees not being worth a toss"?

    All the best,
    Michael
