Content trading website

** The BETA site can be found here: www.qubok.com **

Hi everyone

I am in the process of developing a content trading website where users can buy and sell articles.

This will be similar to the content section on Digital Point where users offer to buy articles by messaging one another (no transactions on-site). The only difference is that the site is dedicated to this entirely.

I will not be charging for this service. My question is - would you use such a service? Do you have any ideas that could improve the process of buying/selling content online?

All thoughts appreciated. This will only be a small project developed in less than a week. I'll then open it up here for feedback from you guys.

Thanks for reading.

Great idea, Matt. What's more is that you can make it really interactive and engaging with features such as reputation points, topics of the week, etc. I suppose it depends on your format, but the concept itself is a nice thought.

Not a bad idea. But everything will depend upon how much would you charge. otherwise there are so many free lance writers site to purchase and sale articles.

Sounds like a good idea. By not charging for the service, I believed u have thought of other means to monetize ur site to ensure it's sustainability.

Maybe u can share a little more on the mechanism of selling/buying that ur site will be providing ie is it merely a 'market place' for potential buyer and seller to exchange contacts or u are also looking at the full fetch service from prospecting till the fulfillment/payment ?

    Cheers!

That is good idea. But what would be 'quality' issue? How you are going to handle them?

Just throwing ideas out there... how about a points-based system, where everyone gets 10 points to begin with. You can read the first paragraph of an article to judge quality, but if you want the whole article you "pay" 1 point. Conversely, the author of the article gains a point. There chould also be an option to buy points for $1 each, with the proceeds either going to defray operating expenses or being paid directly to the authors whose articles are acquired with those points.
