Socialtoo.com allows you to follow people that follow you automatically; that's the only automation tool I use. Not sure about any specific person though. Good luck.

Peter Drew, creator of Brute Force SEO is creating a tool like that, I'm working with him on it. It can also automatically unfollow anyone who doesn't follow you back, after a certain number of days. I can not WAIT for that feature - I am incredibly sick of manually unfollowing people.

It should be available soon, I believe within a week or two.

Check out FlashTweet.com Allows you to bulk follow a certain users followers, up to 100 at a time. Good tool for building up new twitter profiles but might not work for twitter profiles with lots of followers (API limit). Also has a bulk unfollow section but doesn't seem accurate (lists people that are following you back and says they're not following you back).

Its easy..

1. Log into your Twitter account
2. Do an import from your Yahoo email account contacts
3. Auto-follow all those imports

If needs be, first create the yahoo account and add these people as contacts

There is a site called Twollo.com where you can search for any niche and you can set it up to automatically follow the people who talk about that target niche.

There is also a site called Your Twitter Karma where you can bulk unfollow any number of people. It will show you who you are following who follows you back and who does not follow you back.

I wrote a quick and dirty script using the API which searches Twitter for a particular phrase, then returns the last 200 results, adds them to a database, then reads down them and follows them. About 70% of people will follow you if you follow them. I got 600 followers in just over a day. I currently have 761 followers and I'm following 1161. The next stage is to delete the ones I'm following who aren't following me. Then start again!

That's the tough part...mass follow + humans. Mass follow is easy enough, but will get you bots. Following humans is pretty easy to do too, but not in a mass fashion. It's getting both that's the headache..

I'm getting these "I'm following you on Twitter" emails now and many people have a link to their site in there. Does anyone know how I can add my url to that email? I looked in Twitter but don't see the option to edit that email.

I found another bulk follow tool/website Welcome to Buzzom | Social Profile Management that looks pretty good but it no longer allows you to put in some keywords to find people.

The automatic DM are sent from socialoomph.com they will auto follow your followers and send them a DM.

Tweepular unfortunately is random in who you follow and you can't really target anything.

I use a app called twadder which I'm sure you can find if you search this forum.

twadder to add, tweepular to unfollow.

AWESOME! Yes, Tweepular to unfollow and Twadder to follow. I just watched the video and Twadder is exactly the tool I need and its cheap too!
