Why does PeerFly ask for ID?

Why does PeerFly ask for ID? They are the only network that ask for it and they're not even that great of a network.

    Every network has certain requirements and we have to go by them. If you are not comfortable with it then there is no shortage of alternative networks...

    They didn't ask me for ID although i joined about 6 months ago.

    If they are not that great of a network why do you want to join them?

    We require an ID for verification purposes. Requiring an ID helps us cut down on fraud and in some cases we can bypass this step if you can provide us with a reference from another network similar to PeerFly.

    That's not true. Other networks such as Copeac will ask for an ID to be uploaded in certain situations.
