I unsubscribed from ONE of a marketers lists today beacuse i received 3 emails in the past few days from him promoting the same product.. I happily told him why on the aweber form..

The classy guy replied to me...

Hey D^%$ H@#$ I have given more info than anyone else... Not my fault you cannot attend my training seminars. Then I give you good free info and you don't do a dam thing with it... just look at your desk top and you'll see all that free content sitting there and you haven't taken action on anything...
Guess i have something to blog about tomorrow and to send to my lists!! As for not taking action..well the $100,000+ I earned in the past year sort of throws that into dispute doesn't it.

The funny thing is I was only on his list as I promote...(sorry..promoted) his stuff.

Sounds like a great opportunity to cull a bad apple from your barrel. You know, if that's his idea of effective marketing, you sure would question the rest of his advice wouldn't you?

That's not appropriate but the response could have been much worse depending on the person's mood and how many flame responses he received.

That's why I disabled that function in Aweber. I really don't want to know why people unsubscribed. No sense inviting negative energy into your day.

You don't know how many times I typed out a response to an idiot subscriber and was smart enough not to send it. If you have a big list, you can't please everyone and you will get flamed - it's just part of email marketing. Not saying that you flamed him, but others probably did. Eventually you can't resist the urge to smack somebody back which is why I diabled that feature.

I don't think that his response merits public humiliation. Put yourself in his shoes for a minute.
