Quick noob question about directing traffic through my site.

How do I make sure that visitors land on my squeeze page and not on my sales page first? My sales page will have more relevant SEO data and I would think rank higher in the SERP's.

I sure don't want to keep the spiders off of the page either.

I am thinking of going the double opt in (confirmed) route.
My DL pages will be protected with DLGuard.

I am sure there is an easy answer, did a quick search and found nothing relevant.

Thanks

Hmmm, I was hoping there would be a more effective way than that, (some type of redirect)? It's going to be hard to optimize a squeeze page at all for SEO except with the meta data....

Thanks for the input, I did know that way but assumed there had to be a better way I must have been missing.

How are you driving traffic? I generally try to rank with content pages, and funnel from there into a squeeze page. You lose the visitors who don't follow your link, but you do control what you're linking to-and it's easier than trying to rank a squeeze page.

I'm not yet, but when I do I want to do it in the most effective way.

I'm hoping to get a lot of help with organic search traffic, I have a good domain that in itself coupled with a good title tag should pull significant traffic.

I am aware of most all other methods also, article marketing, PPC, etc, etc. I will do everything I have to to drive traffic, but I want to cover the organic side SE side of the coin first and in the most effective way possible.
