My Amazon product review sites conversion rates are sucking. Currently getting about 2% conversion?

I have about 10 amazon review sites up currently that are set up Jan Roos style. I get about 50 clicks per day to the amazon products I am promoting but so far this month my conversion rates are around 2% only. Other months have been around 4-5% which is still low IMO.

What can I do to increase my conversion rates? I am getting clicks but no sales. I heard that a 7% conversion rate on Amazon is good. That is what I'm aiming for too.

The traffic to these sites are pretty targeted too. I am getting organic traffic from search terms such as "(product name) review" or "best (product niche)".

Any ideas on what I can do to increase conversions? I just started adding a price comparison chart to the sites last night showing the products prices from different retailers including Amazon (which has the lowest price).

Thanks

By the way the products I am promoting around $100-$200 in price so their not too expensive that people aren't buying them.

Yes but that is terrible IMO for Amazon compared with others that are doing similar review style amazon sites.

I'm usually between 3% and 5%. Most of my product are in the $50-$75 range though.

there are so many on page factors that can be done to increase conversion - do you have one of those pages we could see as an example to offer some specific suggestions?

I have to say that when I was into Amazon waaay back I found about the same conversion rates (can't recall exact numbers though).
I never had a solution so all I can say is that I recognize your conversion numbers.

Your conversion rates are so low because you're promoting Plumber Surplus over Amazon products. Also, replace "Buy From Amazon" with "Get A Hitachi NR83A2 Framing Nailer".

Honestly your page looks very cluttered. Comparison figures are great but I think you went overboard. That “BUY FROM AMAZON” in size 35+ font at the top of the page is not helping you.

    My site: http://www.best-backpackingtents.com...ckpacking-tent

Compare it to the looks of mine. My site is definitely not complete and still a work in progress but I think it looks very clean, well-organized. Mind you my site is going through the google dance and it was on page 1 for some KW’s yesterday and I made 10 sales, most likely to the same buyer: bought one tent, and 9 other camping related items. Not too bad.

Keep plugging and clean it up a bit. Personally, I wouldn’t buy from you the way the site looks now. It’s too cluttered and looks like you tried too hard to cover up the lack of research, and I didn’t even read your review. Just the appearance is killing me.

Just some observations that will hopefully help.

The "lowest price" graphic is way too big. Try resizing it so it looks okay.
A review page should be just that. Does your theme allow you to have full page and get rid of the sidebar?
      Basically, lose the sidebar distractions.
You want the visitor to see the review and thats it.

Put the video inside the post.
Put the menu for other nail guns in the footer or on the top.
Add a bit of color to the review by putting the sub headlines in a different color
Add a few small pics thru the review

Answer as many questions as possible and use the questions as sub headings

      blah blah

What Size Compressor Do I Need To Run It?
      blah blah

What Is The Warranty On It?
