What do you do when your KW get's "stuck"?

I'm gunning down a major search term that gets ~50,000 exact searches per month, globally.
Most of the competition is multi-million dollar companies -- in the 100's of millions get spent per company per anum. Needless to say this is an uber competitive niche.
Started no where to be found in the first 1,000 results. I'm currently ranking #13-15 depending on the time of day it was searched.
At this point, I'm at the end cycle of my Push-Pull-Drip.
I went light on videos and press releases.... is this where I should start?
