A google job from home? Really???

I'm disgusted. Talk me down....

A really big big big internet marketing heavy weight has just sent the umpteenth facebook post advertising "google hiring people to work at home" job .

If so, can someone explain to me why such a big time guru is doing this, and assure me that I have not just shot myself in the foot by replying back to the facebook post showing the fine print? (A $2.97 fee for a 3 day trial before a $99 fee is charged)

Either I'm having a bad day, or there is a really good reason why IM is getting a bad rap... Is this really what gurus are up to these days?

The facebook post , with a picture of a Google sign, link altered so I don't break any forum rules
Breaking News: Google Now Hiring People to Work From Home! You gotta see this.. http://wordnewsXXXXXXXXXpaper.info/google/

And the fine print from the 2nd page of the affiliate link he sends us to:
Jobs don't normally come with this in the fine print - These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") set forth the terms and conditions that apply to your membership in Lake View Holdings with Monthly Billing ("Membership"). You may be receiving a Hone Income Starter Kit offer for this agreement at a $2.97 cost. At the end of the 3rd day you will be billed an Account Activation fee of $99.95. And then your monthly membership fee of $43.11 starting in 30 days from your Activation Date. The monthly fee will continue every thirty (30) days until cancellation.

    Too bad you didn't Google:
"Google Now Hiring People to Work From Home"
You would have realized that was scam.

  • There will always be scams when there is a way to make a full time living from your home. It's a lifestyle that is the envy by millions and millions. Look at losses like this as "the price of an education", and move on.

But don't worry - there are real people who actually do make a full time living from home. My wife and I have been full time at home for the last 8 years.

I hope you will be posting this to all your FB friends in the hope it will go viral, and if you get time reporting it to Google would seem like a good idea if he is using their logo to rip people off, pity you couldn't post the full link.

Google pays me is different than Google employing you.

It's always good to read the fine print.

True. Google pays me every month thanks to Adsense

But I think what he means is, without going into specifics, beginners will take it as "being employed by Google." Hence, more likely to order the product.

    Hi again Anne,

Aha, the mists are clearing, as soon as I saw this:

    'THE SPIRITUAL ENTREPRENEUR'

Fortunately we don't get too much of this in the UK.

But a quick glimpse at the FB page reveals all.

It looks like something along the lines of what was written in book way

back in the 1970's by a guy called Joe Karbo.

I have a copy on the shelf here beside me, yes I bought it all those years

ago it's called "The Lazy Man's Way To Riches"

He termed this technique "Dyna-psyche" seem like the same sort of thing

to me, prices have gone up a bit though!

I can also tell you that I have seen a sentence from this book used in a

    guru's sales pitch letter.

Anyway, the strange thing is that this technique does actually work, I very much doubt it will make you millions, but is does work nonetheless, it just seems to be the way the human mind subconsciously works.

Everyone will understand when I say, how often have you gone to bed with a problem on your mind, and then the next day or some time later the solution just comes to you, how often have you forgotten where you put something and then later suddenly remembered where you put it,

This is that subconscious thought process at work, all these guys have done is put this natural mind phenomena in a fancy package, and give it a big price tag.

It might be interesting to try this technique in IM and see if we can get the solution to the problem of getting $314,697.23 out of some push button software

    Best Regards

Because there's money to be made with it - just look at some posts in this thread. People are ready to believe....and big time gurus know that and sell to them.

WOW.. very sad. Wonder who it is haha..

I stopped promoting free trial scams a long time ago.. I just didn't feel right about it. I don't understand how the big time cpa affiliates that promote this crap can live with themselves.

Honestly, I don't even feel right promoting clickbank products until I know what's inside. If the sales page is misleading I won't promote it.

I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one who actually feels the products they sell should be worthwhile.

Has this oh-so-spiritual guru been known to sell this kind of garbage before now, or is this a recent development? This is the second round of this kind of scam I've seen coming from him in the last 3 months...

Why worry about it? This is precisely the kind of advertising that the FCC and Google are targeting? Obvious Google Trademark infringement.
