Most Helpful Software....

I like to hear what everyone is using every now and then. Anyone have any favorite and/or helpful software packages that they're finding indispensable? (i.e. text editors, video editors, etc.) Let's try to keep it geared toward the free and/or minimal expense type.

hellingent - I have been using Chris Farrell's Marketing Program and he introduced me to Kompozer and Filzilla. I had both on my desk top but didn't get much from them until his course.

I have had a lot of success with Kompozer - and it is free. Same for filzilla because I had ebooks to load and it was a lot easier than anything else I was able to locate.

The text editor and html coding in Kompozer gets easier as time goes on. In Chris's program he also provides a number of templates free. You have to revise them to fit the products etc. But it was excellent experience.

The first few days of his program are less than $5 then you can cancel if you don't find it useful. The videos are excellent as well.

I am also using Yaro Starak's blogging program. The wordpress platform has a lot of free plug ins that have been very impressive thus far. I just loaded a "table of contents" for my posts. It loaded in about 15 seconds perfectly !

Seems like another great tool for learning and building the list.

I hope this is useful to you. As you can tell I am a "newbie" and just getting my feet under me. If you have a minute, I would appreciate you clicking thru to my site and telling me what you think.

I am always interested in professional opinions and your post shows you have experience. Anything you have to say pro or con will be useful.

    Thanks and best of luck.

      Brad,
It looks like you've put a lot of time/energy into your site. Great job! Here's my initial thoughts real fast:

I'm big on list building. Think about how you plan to KEEP visitors or stay in touch with visitors. (Remember...generally speaking, it takes about 6-7 views before a customer is comfortable purchasing.) You're going to put a lot of hard work into getting them...don't let them just click away never to be seen again.

You have a "subscribe here" form...but why would someone subscribe? (...even if you say that you'll provide great informative newsletter, etc.) Consider a FREEBIE. Give away a simple ebook, coupon or something in exchange for their email address. People love FREEBIES. Pluse, most people these days are protective with their email address and you have to give them something of value before they will just give it to you.

Keep building that list and marketing to those visitors. As your list grows you'll open more doors with marketing. Keep focused...looks like you're on the right path.

      To Your Success,

Not free but definitely worth the $$ for a quality SEO analysis software.
